Frequently asked questions
Here we have gathered answers to the most common questions before the tournament. Click a question to see the answer.
Can we use overage players?
We allow 2 overage players (max 1 year older) per match squad – i.e. 2 players per match, in all classes. Overage players require a dispensation, which is applied for while logged in to the cup system.
Clubs with more than one team in the same age class may not move players between the teams. Clubs may move players between teams in different age classes at their own discretion with an approved dispensation, provided the players are also listed on the team sheet. Other dispensations are only approved if the organiser considers them to be of a specifically approved nature.
Dispensations must be applied for by 31 May and be approved before the team's first match.
Can we add participant cards afterwards?
The last day to change or add participant cards is 15 May. Participant cards apply to players and leaders sleeping and eating at our schools.
Participant cards requested after that cannot be guaranteed, but will be added by the organiser if space allows.
Can we add players to the squad?
The player roster must be filled in on the website no later than before your first match kick-off. If changes occur after that, fill in a new player roster in writing and hand it in at the information desk at Halmstad Arena IP for approval.
When is the match schedule published?
The match schedule is published no later than 2 weeks before the tournament starts, here on the website.
When do we find out where we will stay?
The accommodation assignment is released no later than 3 weeks before the tournament on your team page.
Laxacupen offers accommodation in school classrooms and sports halls. A sports hall with plenty of space may possibly be shared with another club/team. Many of our accommodations are close to the pitches.
Do we play matches every day of the cup?
The 9 vs 9 and 11 vs 11 classes play matches Thursday–Sunday. The 7 vs 7 classes play Friday–Sunday. We offer many matches per team.
How does transport work?
Laxacupen is played at only two venues, where many pitches are gathered in one place. The cup arranges chartered bus transport from the schools where the organiser deems it necessary for teams staying with us.
We otherwise recommend all teams to explore their options for travelling between pitches and accommodation by their own cars or their own bus.
