Player roster

The player roster with the complete squad must be filled in digitally before your first match. All teams can log in on the website and fill in their player roster.

The roster must include name, full personal identity number and shirt number, plus at least one mobile number (preferably several) so the competition management can reach the team during the tournament.

Changes during the tournament (e.g. shirt number changes) are reported on a form handed in at the information desk in the Kombihallen at Halmstad Arena IP.

NOTE! Teams using players not listed on the player roster, or considered ineligible by the competition management, lose the match 0–3 (unless the opponents won by a larger goal difference).
Dispensations & overage players
Apply by 31 MayMax 2 overage players per match squad

We allow dispensations in Laxacupen: a maximum of two overage (1 year older) players per match squad in all classes. Applications are made in the cup system while logged in, by entering the date of birth just as for other players. No dispensations for overage players are approved during the tournament. Other dispensations are handled by the competition management case by case and must be reported via the cup system before the tournament.

Clubs with several teams in the same age class may not move players between the teams (always applies to ages 13–16 and the competitive class age 12). In the 10–12 age classes, players may only be moved between teams in the same class in case of player shortage due to injury or illness – a dispensation is applied for in writing on site at the tournament centre and is approved/rejected by the competition management.

NOTE! Teams breaking the dispensation rules risk exclusion. Problems with registration? Contact laxacupen@hbk.se.
Referees

All matches are refereed by well-trained district and club referees, the majority district referees. The finals in the competitive classes (A playoffs) use a three-referee system; all other matches use a single referee.

Leaders

An unlimited number of leaders is allowed. Leaders coaching teams from Halland must have completed the course "Grönt kort – Leda laget".

Tournament format & playoffs

In the competitive classes, a group stage is played with single meetings followed by playoffs. Competitive playoffs are played in the classes from age 12 competitive and up, with A and B playoffs (possibly also C playoffs) depending on the number of registered teams. In the 7 vs 7 classes, a group stage and continued play with re-seeding based on the unofficial group results are played.

Placement after the group stage is decided by:

  1. Points
  2. Goal difference
  3. Most goals scored
  4. Head-to-head results
  5. Drawing of lots

Draws in playoff matches: penalties are taken immediately to decide the match – 3 penalties per team in the first round, then sudden-death penalties each round.

Penalty shootout (competitive classes)

According to FIFA regulations with the following additions/exceptions: 3 penalties per team in the first round, then deciding penalties per round. All players finishing the match at regular time must each take a penalty before any player may take a second one. Substitutes at the final whistle may not take a penalty.

Players & substitutes

Unlimited number of substitutes with so-called flying substitutions at the halfway line – the incoming player may not enter the pitch before the outgoing player has left it. A substituted player may re-enter the match an unlimited number of times.

Both teams sit on the same side during the match, in the technical area/within 15 metres of the halfway line.

Kit & equipment

Teams play in the colours stated at registration. All kits must be numbered and match the team sheet. In case of colour similarity, the away team changes kit and is responsible for providing an away kit or bibs.

Approved shin guards are mandatory in all age classes. Ball size 5 in B14, B15, G14, G15/16 – ball size 4 in all other classes. Screw-in studs are not allowed in any class. The referee decides whether the equipment is regulation.

Preparation & conduct

Each team brings its own warm-up balls and must be changed and ready at their pitch no later than 10 minutes before the scheduled kick-off. Sides are changed with a break of approx. 3 minutes.

Each team is responsible for the conduct of its leaders, players, parents and supporters. Anyone behaving inappropriately can be dismissed by the referee or competition management. A dismissed leader is automatically suspended for at least the next match – the competition management decides on any longer suspension.

Send-offs & suspensions

Players sent off for a serious, minor or goal-scoring-opportunity offence may not take part in the team's next match – the club concerned is responsible for ensuring this. A serious send-off is always followed by a separate report processed by the relevant district association, and the competition management may suspend the player for additional matches or the rest of the tournament.

NOTE! Teams using a suspended player lose the match 0–3, unless the opposing team won by a margin of more than three goals – in that case, that result stands instead.
Teams failing to show up

Teams failing to show up for a match without a valid reason lose the match 0–3 by walkover. In case of repeated no-shows (2 matches), the team is excluded from the tournament.

Protests

Protests must be submitted in writing no later than 30 minutes after the end of the match to the competition secretariat in the Kombihallen, together with a protest fee of SEK 1,000. The fee is refunded if the protest is upheld.

Prizes & medals

Competitive classes (B/G12 competitive, B/G13, B/G14, B15, G15/16): trophies for 1st and 2nd place in the A playoffs, as well as 1st and 2nd place in the B playoffs and any C playoffs. Medals for every player of the 1st and 2nd placed teams in the A playoffs (not for leaders).

Classes B/G10, B/G11, B/G12: medals are awarded to all players (not leaders).
